And a new Dark Knight poster has popped up online. It's somewhat surprising to have a new poster so close to the film's release but this latest addition is more of a treat in connection to all the viral marketing from "The Joker" at WB's many websites. As you can see by clicking on the pic on the left, the "Why So Serious" attitude of Mr. Joker is evident. The highly anticipated sequel stars Christian Bale, Heath Ledger, Aaron Eckhart, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Gary Oldman, Michael Caine and Morgan Freeman. Christopher Nolan directed the sequel, based on a screenplay that he co-wrote with brother Jonathan Nolan.

Plot Summary: "The Dark Knight" reunites director Christopher Nolan with star Christian Bale, who returns to continue Batman's war on crime. With the help of Lieutenant Jim Gordon (Gary Oldman) and District Attorney Harvey Dent (Aaron Eckhart), Batman sets out to destroy organized crime in Gotham for good. The triumvirate proves to be effective, but they soon find themselves prey to a rising criminal mastermind known as the Joker (Heath Ledger), who thrusts Gotham into anarchy and forces the Dark Knight ever closer to crossing the fine line between hero and vigilante.
This is my most anticipated film for the rest of the year, but right now I'm starting to get that nervous anticipation feeling. The hype and the reviews I've seen so far are building it up so much that I don't know that I'll be able to enjoy my first viewing. I'll see it multiple times for sure anyway.

I'm scared, somebody hold me and reassure me.
I've read a couple of pieces pointing to a push to get Heath an Oscar nom. and maybe the win for his portrayal of the Joker. Maybe I'm too cynical, but did we need a guy to die before a superhero movie finally was included in the converstion? I think so. Remember back when Batman came out there was talk that the only reason Nicholson didn't get a nod for a nom. was because of the amount of money he got paid.
*holding and reassuring Wiseguy but in a none homesexual way of course :)*

I think Heath would've gotten a nom regardless of his death, in every review the thing that stands out is his performance. Fantasy wasn't doing to well until LOTR, the Dark Knight is gonna usher a new type of movie that will be recognized regardless of genre. Summer flicks aren't usually recognized for the Oscars, but Depp managed to do it with is Capt. Jack Sparrow performance, who would've thought a gay pirate would get a nom? This year we're gonna have a comic book villain, book it!
Prior to Dark Knight, what else could've been nominated from the comics? FF? lol.
Nicholson, Reeves, Bale, Keaton, Downey, Dafoe, Molina, JK Simmons, I really think all gave good enough performances. I just don't think they took these films seriously into consideration. Maybe it's my fanboy side talking but I think at least a nom. for some of these would've been well earned.

Thanks for holding me :)
Hopefully it'll eventually get on the market so I can get two. One for me and one for the little sis who is a giant Batman fanatic. It brings a tear to my eye that she's as geeked out (maybe even more) as I am on Dark Knight.
I'd agree with Downey and Dafoe. Gene Hackman was great as Luthor. As far a Jack's Joker, I always felt that it was more Jack doing "Jack" with clown make-up on than anything else. That's just my take.
Like a midget on an urinal I gotta keep on my toes.

By the way kiddies, check this chick out: Beatrice Rosen.
You guys think she's Dr. Quinzel? I do.
