There's a smattering of pretty pictures and moving images on the web today, including a new poster for 'X-Men Origins: Wolverine', a sneak peek at 'Scott Pilgrim', new 'Watchmen' book images, the new 'Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen' trailer, a new 'G.I. Joe' website and more. Keep those 3D glasses on for this eye-popping Comics2Film 9.2.2!

G.I. JOE Website Live

Fans saw the first posters and trailer for 'G.I.Joe: The Rise of Cobra' this week.

Now the film has a spiffy new website at GIJoeMovie.com. There you'll find the new trailer, downloadable wallpapers based on those posters (with faces intact) and links to Facebook and Myspace pages for the film.

SCOTT PILGRIM animatics?

An image from Edgar Wright's MySpace Blog, presumably of some SCOTT PILGRIM storyboards

Edgar Wright, director of the upcoming 'Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World' movie, continues his MySpace photoblog from the film's production offices in Toronto. Today's photos seems to reveal some kind of story board or animatic image from the movie.

The film, based on the Oni Press graphic novels by Bryan Lee O'Malley, stars Michael Cera and a huge cast of up-and-comers.

TRANSFORMERS Super Bowl Ad

If you missed Mania's round up of 10 Trailers from the Super Bowl, of if you didn't watch the game, then you may have missed this:

I'm going to come right out and say I didn't love the first 'Transformers' movie, mostly because the robot animation always looked like a blur of debris on the screen and my feeble eyes oftentimes failed to make out the shape of the autobots and decepticons themselves. This looks like more of the same.

More Images from "Watchmen: The Art of the Film"

Comic Book Resources have the latest images from the upcoming book "Watchmen: The Art of the Film", featuring some great matte paintings of various locations from the film.

Ain't It Cool loves WONDER WOMAN

Harry Knowles over at Ain't It Cool News got an early look at the new 'Wonder Woman' animated movie:

Whomever is looking at making a feature film of WONDER WOMAN, they should look at this, the first animated Wonder Woman feature for inspiration. It is directed by Lauren Montgomery (SUPERMAN: DOOMSDAY) and she has out done herself with WONDER WOMAN.

BATMAN: THE DEAD AND THE CANCELLED

No, you haters of fun, humorous cartoons, 'Batman: The Brave and the Bold' is still going strong. We just ran across this funny observation from screen/TV/comics writer and all-round nice guy John Rogers from his Kung Fu Monkey blog.

Rogers, as you may know, had a hand in co-creating the current DC Universe Blue Beetle character, with veteran writer Keith Giffen and artist Cully Hamner. Rogers wrote or co-wrote the thouroughly enjoyable Blue Beetle comic for much of its run. The cancellation of the book was announced at the end of last year.

While gushing over the recent Aquaman episode of the show, Rogers made this obesrvation:

And for those of you who have written in: I am indeed gratified by the unexpectedly large role Jaime Reyes as Blue Beetle has played in the new kid-friendly Batman animated hit. Or, less subtly, I am gratified by the role a character whose book has just been canceled is playing on the hit animated show starring another character who's just been killed off.

Synergy: You're Doing It Wrong.

I have to say when I was at the bar watching the game at the bar alot of people were saying wow on the G.I.Joe teaser so who knows cause I didn't dislike the trailer just thought Sommers could've given us a little more perhaps the YOOOOO JOOOEEEE!!!! and Marlon looked pretty serious too still not liking Tatum though.

That Transformers 2 teaser looked pretty fucking sweet,I bet what looked to be more transformers falling from the sky in the beginning of the teaser could be decepticons cause I saw all those jets on the Naval ships for them to scan.Ravage looked pretty sick and nasty also looks like he's like a cyclops a little bit.Sideswipe looked pretty fucking sweet and look he was being chased or followed by 2 other transformers.I'm happy to see Starscream looking like he's gonna have more screen time too.I don't know if that's Devastator or the  Fallen I guess we'll see though and Prime of course looked like a badass.

I'm liking that Wolverine poster reminds me of Wolverine issue #1 can't wait to see it.

I had a feeling that Wonder Woman toon movie was gonna be good and be probably the closest we'll get to a W.W. film for the time being.

You really have to try hard not to make a Wolverine poster look bad ass. This is still my top film of the year.

Glad to see the good review for WW, looking forward to checking it out. At least there's one thing that DC does better than Marvel, animated films.

I'm w/you WISE...can't wait for Wolverine  I also like that we don't have to wait until mid-summer to see it.  Less than 3 mos. to go!

Wolverine will be great.  I can't wait.

As for the Transformers teaser, well I wasn't.  I'm looking forward to it, but I didn't see anything that made me get excited.  I hope the story is ok.

I think Joe looks better, at least we have an idea what that's about.

HMMMMMMMM, I guess making statements like "you haters of fun, humorous cartoons" and calling it "kid-friendly" are intended to make you feel guilty or change your mind about the boring cheaply animated Batman B and B. I like kids cartoons, so that's not the issue, it's boring my nephew's don't even want to watch it! Making excuses for stuff that isnt worthwhile doesn't make it not worthwhile.

On its own, in a vacuum or in relation to comic books, the poster is solid, does remind me of Wolvie #1,

but as a Wolverine MOVIE poster for the gen-pop?

The 3 claws featuring centrally will be far too subconcsiously reminiscent (to the average film go'er) of the shitfest that was X3.

(because they used Logan's 3 claws to denote 3 in the X3 poster - Ed)

The public don't need any reminders of that bloody film, it killed the main X-men franchise and Wolverine is our last best hope at a revival.

Ask me, that poster needs to DIE now.
