A week after 20th Century Fox unleashed their first clip ("Magic Trick") and a few TV spots for the prequel X-Men: First Class, the studio has revealed some more spots and a second clip. Watch them down below and sound off with your thoughts. The adventure tale stars James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Rose Byrne, January Jones, Kevin Bacon, Jennifer Lawrence, Edi Gathegi, Bill Bilner, Jason Flemyng, Oliver Platt, Morgan Lily and Zoe Kravitz. Helmer Vaughn (Kick-Ass) led from the director's chair, based on a screenplay by Josh Schwartz, Jamie Moss, Ashley Miller, Zack Stentz and Jane Goldman.

Plot Concept: "X-Men: First Class" charts the epic beginning of the X-Men saga, and reveals a secret history of famous global events. Before mutants had revealed themselves to the world, and before Charles Xavier and Erik Lehnsherr took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time. Not archenemies, they were instead at first the closest of friends, working together with other Mutants (some familiar, some new), to prevent nuclear Armageddon. In the process, a grave rift between them opened, which began the eternal war between Magneto’s Brotherhood and Professor X's X-Men.

X-Men: First Class strikes theaters June 3, 2011.

Pendragon0 5/18/2011 8:23:10 PM

So Angel has been retconned into a girl with dragonfly wings...

UltimateTypeface 5/18/2011 9:00:55 PM

OK thats a lot of clips, I feel like I have watched the whole movie already.

You know hating is really exhausting.

So Im going bury my anger at the pointless changes to the comic book mutant history deep down it my gut and let it fester with a large box of popcorn and try to enjoy this movie for what it is.

Now for some positive comments

Hank McCoy doesnt have the enlarged feet and hands but he can still do monkey  tricks - looks cool.

Havok is weilding some heavy fire power - looks cool.

Blue and yellow costumes - look cool

The 60's feel and whole "before blah blah.." looks cool

Nothing bad to say today

Ok, right when i was starting to finally settle in and accept this a lil more completely as best  I can, I see "Angel" as a girl with dragonfly wings. I mean i know it's a completely different character and all, but it just kind of annoys me still. I think ill just laugh it off or something.... HAHAHAHAHHAAHA! I'm just looking forward to Magneto tearing up some sh*t......

Good director, pretty damn good leads in McAvoy and Fassbender........the latter being one of the coolest names ever......I don't think this is going to be bad at all, I'm actually fairly excited to see this now!  Kinda stoked for the reviews on the new Pirates movie too.......

TheMovieGuy28 5/18/2011 11:22:58 PM

Wish, you said it-I've been praising Fassbender ever since 300. Heck, he was the most fun thing about Jonah Hex.

And I've stopped watching trailers. After I saw it big screen on Thor, I need nothing else to tell me this movie is going to kick lots of midgets in the face.

also, for everyone complainin about continuity....just consider the film version to be another printed comic. Call it the 'ultimates edition days of past future" ha!

Remember that Angel was in X3. He was a teenager. How would he be in the 60's? I know he was in the first class along with Cyclops, beast, Jean, and Iceman.  So they have a girl with wings called what? Isn't Cyclops older than Havock? How is Havock in the 1st class? I don't see anyone bitching about that. All I know is Brian Singer is involved. He made the first two great. If he would have been involved with the third one...that one would have been better than it was. This move looks awesome. I can't wait to see it.

Why are we still complaining about continuity.... this is the MOVIE Xmen, and we bought the first ones hook line and sinker, To have a prequel that makes sense with the last 3 they have to make changes.  Comics do it all the time with retellings or alternate takes.  The real story in this film will be Eric and Charles, and I can`t wait.

Mossy1221 5/19/2011 5:27:46 AM

Continuity was spat on by Singers versions.  Bret Ratner then crapped on it.  And this version is the regurgitated aftermath of the first 3 films combined.    I am not remotely close to being excited about seeing this film in the theater.   However, I will be at the local video store on the dvds release day.

It is an X-Men film.  I will have to see it!

Wiseguy 5/19/2011 6:00:29 AM

LOL I can see a lot of you guys don't read the X comic books or dropped them a while back. This female "Angel" is Tempest. She used Angel for a while since that is her real first name but later dropped it and went with Tempest

I can't wait for this. I've had a good dose of Thor but now I need another fix of superhero madness and this is next, just a couple of weeks to go
