How old is everybody on here? Have you ever seen or read the original comics? Stop the god damn whining! You haven't seen the movie so stop this speculation bullshit!!!!  If you're worried about the whole style, look tot he 1960's when people actually dressed up like such. If it's the content of history, READ. - If it's the continuity of comics... READ THOSE....    And get a god damn life! It's just a movie! You don't wanna see it? fine, go bullshit somewhere else!  - Movies translate different from comics, there are limits and there are creative angles, LEARN ABOUT IT. And to the younger folk, Yes, that IS beast, in 1962 with the first issue of X-Men, Beast looked normal.

If you don't like people discussing, debating, whining, speculating and talking about films then you're in the wrong place my friend. I think you need to stop whining about others whining and don't read the comments and basically shut the fuck up, and I say that with nothing but love, just trying to help you avoid raising your blood pressure on our account. I think you know the way out

wow, pathetic geeks.....  it's no wonder getting laid is a hard thing to come by for them. I guess I'm too mature for this shit. Pardon my intusiveness, I will just keep to myself from this children's forum.

Yea F#ck up D77 what has age got to do with it? We just want to debate and learn some shit.

Why dont you "go bullshit somewhere else" last time  I looked this was the place to comment on what ever we liked/disliked.

I dont give a rats arse about the the Fox/Singer /616 universe but in the comics was he born a bit freaky or did it happen later?

Sorry for being confused.

Wiseguy 3/25/2011 5:24:11 AM

Yeah D77 you're too mature for us, don't let the door hit you on the way out.

@UltimateTypeface, Hank had the large hands and feet from very young. I believe he was borned that way but I'm not 100%. He was very athletic, fast and strong and his initial mutations were present while he was in school. Later on after getting involved with the X-Men his powers went up several notches after he tried some experiments on himself if I recall correctly that's when his secondary mutations (blue fur, fangs and claws) also took affect

LOL! I love the hands/feet debate.

I own every X-men comic in some form (orginals, reprints) therefore concur that Beast had big hands and feat. In issue #48, a back-up story, He explains his powers to the "audience".  He explains that his large hands and feet, enhanced strength and agility allow him to perform all his feats. He can leap and bound out of trouble, and use his toes to help him scale walls. He also explains his unique fighting style and he is so skilled with his feet that he can write with his toes. He is so skilled he can use both his hands and feet to repair machinery.

Judging by that crap photo, we see none of that.

If word of mouth for this movie is good, as an X-men fan, I will go see it. First I will buy a ticket for Captain America, then sneak in to peak out of curiousity.

Hank didn't get a secondary mutation. He tried to cure himself of his mutation and his experiment went wayyy wrong. I think this was in the X-factor era and pre-archangel area

bat2811 3/25/2011 7:33:39 AM

Ok I have to add to my statement. Hank did get a secondary mutation. Just saying that the blue fur was not it. It was him becoming more cat like than ape like in the "New X-Men" era. My bad

alienstatue 3/25/2011 11:53:55 AM

that's my memory of it also. Hank tried to cure himself with one of the experiments and it went wrong.

alienstatue 3/25/2011 11:58:32 AM

I also think they should have added the big feet or hairy feet and arms to Hank in this movie coming out. I think it adds to the character feeling like an outsider. If you look normal, but can just do really athletic stuff, I'm not sure Hank would really feel like an outsider. Any way just my opinion.
