Nice, but it looks far too busy and looks like something out of Halo. But if they rejected these designs they could do worse than look at Adi Granov's work. Iron Man's suit should be sleek, with a few simple graceful lines, broken only by the circles of repulsor rays and the rectangular eye/mouth slits. And the colour scheme? I seriously doubt that a playboy billionaire industrialist would be caught dead driving a dull copper Ferrari.

You know why can't they just stick with the Classic Iron Man look. The plain ol Orange and Yellow not so busy looking costume. I don't know why they bother screwing up suit idea's for the big screen. They did that with the green goblin making his costume all lame and hopefully they come up with a better Iron Man Costume. Don't make him look like freakin robo cop or a transformer.

I'm glad they rejected this. It looks very cool on the page, but would look cheesy on screen. It's a very fine line to walk.

I cant believe nobody else has suggested this, it's as clear as day. ULTIMATE IRON MAN Bryan Hitch's original design from The Ultimates is the obvious and perfect canidate; it's realistic, believable, and still keeps key designs that stick with the spirit of the old suits. It doesnt look like an adroid walking around, it looks like an actual SUIT that you can wear and turn yourself into a one-man army. If this movie is going to work with general audiences and NOT just comic book fans its going to have to appeal to them, and that means making it more realistic (Batman Begins) and Hitch's design is the perfect choice for just that. So hopefully even the hardcore fans of the classic design will support the Ultimate suit being used for the movie. Anyone with me here?

The rejected suit is okay, but he kind of looks like he is ready for a quick game of rollerball to me.
