Next For John Carpenter?

Though GHOSTS OF MARS hasn't hit theater screens yet, director John Carpenter is at work on his next movie project. But he's choosing to stay quiet about what it is.
While talking to syndicated columnists Marilyn Beck and Stacy Jenel Smith, Carpenter revealed, "I'm in the process of starting to write another thriller, but don't know when I'll actually get into production. I've made 20 films in 30-plus years and, let's face it, the older you get the slower you have to go. It's hard to get up in the morning."
But first, after the release of MARS, Carpenter is planning on taking a vacation.
