Nicolas Cage has signed on to star in a cop action-thriller named Crazy Dog.

Joe Rueben (The Forgotten) is set to direct the film which was penned by Henry Bean and Nick Kazan.

The story involves a New York City cop who is responsible for the death of a friend due to his own cowardice. The guilt sends the cop on a self-destructive spree before he begins to seek redemption.

Sounds a little 'meh' to me.

dude if you didn't see "Lord of War" rent it. Great movie. I like Cage and most of the movies he has done.

I smell a "whooo" scene happening in that project. Can you say "face . . . OFF" No? That's probably a good thing. I remember when Nicolas Cage made thoughtful films that had something to say. Raising Arizona, Valley Girl. These were IMPORTANT films . . . cough . . . hack . . . HACK . . . sorry, had some hair stuck in my throat.

The director of "The Forgotten" actaully kept the story moving despite the fact that he wasn't given much to work with. This may not be horrible, but it sounds like "Leaving Las Vegas" meets "Bringing Out the Dead"

Title correction: Nicolas Cage is a CRAZY.

There was an extra, unnecessary word at the end.

I loved National Treasure. He's not done.
Bring on another Treasure movie.

#6, National Treasure was a decent movie DESPITE Cage's involvement, not because of it. Just my opinion of course, but Cage brings virtually nothing to the movies he is in. Even Tom Cruise can "act" better than this guy.

This doesn't have to do with Crazy Dogs, but is it just me or is Cage trying to invoke the spirit of the 50's Elvis in this picture above... I thought he is supposed to be Johnny Blaze. I'm not sayin... I'm just sayin...

Cage is a Presley fan freak. He married Presley's daughter precisely because she was Presley's daughter. Tres creepy.

Yes... that makes things even more creepy... creepier then Johnny Blaze needs to be.
