On a new episode of NBC's returning drama "Chuck" (Mondays, 8-9 p.m. ET), Special Agent Sarah Walker (series star Yvonne Strahovski) gets a bad blast from the past when she comes face to face with her high school nemesis -- played by guest star Nicole Richie ("The Simple Life") -- for broadcast this fall.

Richie will guest-star in the episode as the snarky and spiteful girl who tortured Sarah in school -- and now Sarah must face her fears when she is forced to attend her 10-year high school reunion for a mission with Chuck (series star Zachary Levi) as her date.

"Nicole auditioned for the part and was very funny," said executive producer Josh Schwartz. "This role is a great opportunity for her to show off her comedic skills and be diabolically evil and kick some butt. It's going to be really fun."

From College Hill Pictures, Wonderland Sound and Vision in association with Warner Bros. Television, "Chuck" was created by Josh Schwartz & Chris Fedak and is executive produced by Schwartz and McG.

I loved the first season of Chuck, but I hope they keep things on track. Casting Ritchie in anything seems a little gimmicky at best and a grab at ratings at worst... Plus I don't like her. All I need is plenty of Yvonne Strahovski on screen and I'm a happy camper.

Yeah, just when I started to appreciate the show, they had to bring her on. She can't act. She' annoying.

nah, it's cool, guys. spoiled whores ALWAYS add value where ever they pop up. with any luck, she'll be added to the cast, then they'll make a spin off staring her. then she can REALLY show off all those comedic skills she's spent the past decade honing.

What kills me in this day and age is that you got people who go to acting schools and have to wait years to get an opportunity at an acting gig, lucky if you can get one within months....and yet Hollywood loves to take talentless polarizing figures and turn them into actors. Here I am been looking up how to become a voice actor, which you have to take classes for , and here you have Nicole Ritchie, along with quite a few other no-talent bastards that are spoiled with money or some stupid ass 15-minuts of fame by accident caught on cam to be seen on TMZ or Youtube that makes you really wonder does Hollywood really have any requirements (MUCH LESS FOLLOW), to be an actor. Obviously not...doesn't happen often that a diamond-in-the-ruff without any schooling in acting can come along and take the industry by surprise, but everytime Nicole or Paris grace the screen its a reminder that you have to have money, family-name pedigree or complete worthlessness to break into Hollywood. Plus everytime Nicole opens that ugly mouth to smile, (to steal a recent line from Jerry Lawler) "I don't know whether to give her a tic-tac or toilet paper".

This is a great show and I'm really disappointed they feel the need to resort to this kind of stunt casting crap. Someone who gives more of a shit than me ought to organize a high profile boycott of that particular episode.

Then its my divine right to say that I seen dead grandmothers resting in caskets at night....in a desert, in a tent.......during the mating season more entertaining than Nicole. Its my divine right to remind Jessica Simpson that there is no chicken in "Chicken of the Sea" everytime she opens a can of tuna. Its my divine right to tell Dan Didio to bend over and slurp his own balls for putting DC in comic slump. And its my divine right to find a bat and split the crack of somebody's ass at NBC for taking a nap and waking up the next day to offer this joke of an idea. Don't even get me started cause I'm in a foul mood today. Put that in your goddamn coca cola and smile.
