
Nintendo announced today that it has kicked off its POKEMON CRYSTAL nation-wide contest.
"The Ruins of Alph Sweepstakes" is being run at www.Pokemoncrystal.com and is part of Nintendo's $5 Million marketing campaign to promote POKEMON CRYSTAL, the newest game in the POKEMON series. The Grand Prize winner receives a trip to for four to the Mayan Ruins in the city of Cancun, Mexico.
"POKEMON CRYSTAL is adding even more fuel to the POKEMON fire with a brand new GAME BOY COLOR adventure, a Web site dedicated solely to this new title and a national sweepstakes," says Peter Main, executive vice president of sales and marketing for Nintendo of America. "Sales of POKEMON CRYSTAL topped more than one million copies in just 17 days after its launch in Japan and here in America, we expect to exceed that performance."
To enter the contest, head to www.pokemoncrystal.com and enter the "Ruins of Alph". As you decode the messages written in Unown, you'll open secret rooms and may even win a prize. The grand prize will be determined by a drawing on October 30th. All rules are available at www.pokemoncrystal.com.
