There's something to be said for single volume releases over a spread of up to 6 months for half seasons and up to a year for full seasons. I miss the good old days.

FUNimation's ambitious spring plans continue to see adjustment as the latest release to get a delay is the Classic Line release of Noir from Bee Train. The first part of the girls with guns trilogy that was followed up by Madlax and El Cazador (and then riffed on with Phantom ~Requiem for Phantom~) is now set for release on July 19th for a listed price of $49.99 for the complete bilingual series. The full breakdown of what's in the set is also out now which you can find below. Sadly, the special omake dub material that was snuck into the single volume releases by ADV Films likely won't be here, for those that remember when that happened.
Plot summary: Mireille makes a living killing as an international assassin. Kirika is an amnesiac with uncanny speed and stealth. Under the codename Noir, these two young mistresses of semi-automatics and improvised weapons track and execute criminal syndicates across the globe as they hunt for clues to their connected pasts - but it is they who are actually being hunted.
Caught in the crosshairs of a centuries-old conspiracy, the deadly beauties of Noir aim to expose the secrets of the ancient society orchestrating their lives. Will Mireille and Kirika have a future after they learn the truth about their pasts?
Contains episodes 1-26.
Special Features: Clean Opening & Closing Animation, Original Japanese Promos, Interview with Houko Kuwashima, Interview with Kotono Mitsuishi, Interview with Tarako, Interview with Aya Hisakawa, Kirika Music Video.

I really loved this series but held off on buying them when the box sets that came out were 80 a pop. Guess I will have to wait a little longer
