Chris Cooper can rock this role... yeah, He'll be great.

The Amazing Spiderman is easily my 2nd favorite superhero movie after The Avengers. To me It's an obvious choice to go with the classic purple and green Halloween style mask & suit for this movie. I still haven't managed to get over the painful armored-CGI-statue retina-burn from the first Raimi installment. With a class-actor like Chris Cooper onboard, here's also hoping for another "Ledgerendary" super villain performance (If there was a pun in there it was indeed intended).
I really like Chris Cooper, but as far as the Green Goblin is concerned, is he too old for the role? I can foresee CGI being used extensively for the Green Goblin shots.
In the comics at one point Norman Osborn had what looked to be cornrows. I don't think they were supposed to be but that's what they looked like.
And I don't think that suit in the first one was CGI.
Are they building up for a Sinister 6 in Spidey 3? Why so many villains? I thought Sony learned their lesson in the original trilogy with Spidey 3. *facepalm* This movie is gonna suck so badly. Maybe I'll catch this one in the dollar theater as well.
@ MrJaw - I don't doubt you're right about the suit not actually being CGI but the whole thing sure looked artificial in a very BAD way. I'd even go so far as to say it's THE worst super hero movie costume interpretation since the horrendous Batman & Robin (pick any character).
He looks like he could be alright. But where the hell is J. Jonah Jameson? Seriously...Raimi's SM was a lot better storywise then this one, but I like Garfield better as Parker.
Can't I have everything? Is there anything wrong with that?
yeah that was a real suit but they had some cgi moments where, if possible, made things look worse.
Thought the last movie was lacking in many ways story and actor wise....don't see this heading in the right direction for the sequel. Of course I will see it and hope it is much better than the first.
