Say what you will but, those filming shots about Transformers 3 looks cool and I can't wait. I like a movie that blows sh%# up and this film does it.

BUT, i just think what's her name who's replacing Megan Fox looks so ugly, she's a walking twig and needs to eat a bit more...damm this new era of 77lb woman who apparently looks good....looks good like my ass.

Lions Gate had the rights to the Punisher not Marvel. They co-produced like they do with all their characters that are licensed out. But the last 2 Punisher films were Lions Gate films. Not to mention that Feige has maintained that Marvel would not make any R movies under their banner. So yeah, it was news when the rights reverted to Marvel

Young Justice looks sweet. When do we get to see it?

I'd been saying all along that I wanted to see the original shield and it looks like we may. Maybe we'll even see FDR awarding Cap the shield most fans know in the movie too, that would be cool.

I see that First Class has no intentions on sticking with the chronology of the comics. I was holding out hope that they may but guess not. Still trying to remain optimistic about this

Grace Park for the Wasp.

Rob didn't mention that Wright said that AntMan won't be in the Avengers because his script is an origin story that would conflict with the Avengers timeline. Wright said this was discussed with Marvel already. I find it a little bit disheartening that such a prominent member won't be in the Avengers but at least he's getting his own feature plus the 3 big guns are in the Avengers. I also assume that the Wasp will be saved for the Ant Man film since Pym is the one that hooks her up

Note to Favreau and all others misusing "continuity", recasting a role does not affect continuity just like a new writer or artist on a comic has no affect on continuity. Rebooting or resetting the storyline now that's messing with continuity

Just watched those Transformers videos. Sure enough, it looks like a blast. Would've loved to seen those explosions live. Some of those cats were standing right next to the explosions, them stunt men deserve lots of props including the guys that did that base jumop. Bay is the master of the boom BOOM.

Looking forward to that next year, along with all the comic book movies it's going to be one hell of a summer

Young Justice looks pretty good.  I can't wait.

Cap's costume changes sound good, an evolution if you will.  I just hope it isn't an excuse to peddle action figures.

When has a studio ever influenced changes in a movie for the sake of selling merchandise? lancedenier you're just too cynical ;->

CBM caught up with "Captain America: The First Avenger" director Joe Johnston at the San Diego Comic-Con and asked him to confirm that The Invaders will be in the movie.

"Oh yeah," said Johnson, adding that Namor will be one of the members. However, the decision has been made for Namor not to have the little wings on his feet.

In Ironman the armor went through three different versions before the final one at the mid-point of the movie. So the concept images we saw of Caps uniform a few months ago are likely not of the final version we see at or near the end of the movie.

Wiseguy 7/28/2010 9:40:57 AM

monelonmonday, Johnston was pretty vague with  his answers to Namor so I think wether or not he'll be in the film is still speculation IMO, although I had your same conclusion when I first read it

The way I understood it, Marvel had the rights to Punisher and it was technically the first Marvel Studios film although in partnership with Lionsgate... but that's neither here nor there. I know I'm in the minority, but that last Punisher film was great. It was faithful to the Ennis stuff and I loved Jigsaw and his speech with the flag. I don't know what people are looking for in a Punisher film but that last one delivered everything I was looking for. Bring on a sequel!
