With the trailer set to finally debut, an insider report claims that there's trouble brewing in the 'Incredible Hulk' camp with actor Ed Norton clashing with Marvel execs.
In her Deadline Hollywood column, Nikki Finke reports that the star is insisting on getting into the editing bay to cut the movie. Apparently this is in line with his contract, which allowed him to rewrite Zak Penn's screenplay and "promised tremendous involvement and access". Norton was involved in the cut of this week's trailer and allegedly disagrees with the way the actual film is being cut together.
Fans may recall that Norton famously insisted on editing 'American History X', over the loud and public protests of director Tony Kaye.
However, some insiders are dismissing the so-called conflict as business as usual. "At this stage you always have discussions about what's in the film and what's not going to be in the film. Everyone's very passionate, and Edward is very opinionated," said one unnamed source.
Another adds "There is a very healthy exchange of ideas going on. Discussions now are even more heated. But some of Ed's best movies have had this exact dynamic to them. Everyone's in the process of figuring it out and working it out. But I expect it'll all get resolved pretty quickly."
