Despite the fact that most of us are still waiting for the online release of their D23 Expo panel footage, Marvel Studios has announced that they plan to show off more footage from Joss Whedon's The Avengers at next month's New York Comic-Con exhibit. With the panel set to hit the Big Apple's convention floor Saturday, October 15 from 6:30pm - 7:30pm in the IGN Theater, you can check out their press statement below.
Continuing the epic big-screen adventures started in "Iron Man," "The Incredible Hulk," "Iron Man 2," "Thor" and "Captain America: The First Avenger," in "Marvel's The Avengers" the world's greatest Super Heroes must assemble to pull the world back from the brink of disaster when an unexpected enemy threatens global security. This special presentation will feature never-before-seen footage and appearances by special surprise guests.
The superhero team-up stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Tom Hiddleston, Stellan Skarsgård and Samuel L. Jackson. Whedon is directing the production from a screenplay he penned.
Marvel's The Avengers flies into theaters May 4, 2012.

Hmmm..never been to any comi-cons. I think i'll make this the first,& being that its in my town, is a bonus.
Now I'm pissed that I moved acroos the country. I would have so been there. I used to only live a few hours away. I want Avengers so bad... I feel just like you do Wise... I want it bad
We need a promo still of the entire cast in costume. That will get the blood pumping.
