Amen Littlemikey979.  He would absolutely fit that role...

Don't know or really haven't seen much of any of these guys to comment on their acting. But going on looks, Krazinski is the last one I'd choose, he's got the height for sure though

Ben Foster? Hell no, agree the cat is a good actor but he's too short and just looks too angry IMO

Guess, I'll keep my fingers crossed and hope whoever they choose can pull it off

Btw, wtf happened to McPartlin? I thought he was being considered. Anyway I'm thinkling this isn't the entire story and may be some misinformation

I see how alot of you think this a good idea, but I don't.  I think he is funny in the office, but I don't see anything about him that makes me think he is Captain America.  I agree with fft5305, Mark Valley would be great, and regradless I think I can look past his age.  I don't think that would be an issue with Cap.  Last I checked in the comics he was not a young spring chicken.

Oh yeah, Ben Foster, not a good idea for Cap, I see him ore in the villian role or possible a Green Arrow movie, but Cap no, don't see it.  I hate to say this, but I actually could see Ryan Phillappe (can't spell his last name)  if he bulked up, just a thought

Krazinski is in that middle ground age wise not too young nor too old to play the part convincingly which gives him the edge over most of the others being considered. Another thing in his favor is that he's got more acting experiance than the other contenders. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say he'll get the part.

Ben Foster's only 5' 9". I don't see it.

McPartlin was my call for Cap months ago, but then the producers said they were looking for someone upper 20s to about 32.  Awesome is almost 35. If they wanted to push the age, I'd say absolutely. But I think they want to skew younger so that he's good for sequels and the Avengers movie.  If this movie is successful, they could be making them for another 10-12 years. If they start with someone who is 45 (Valley), by the 3rd movie, Cap would be in his mid 50s.

I gotta go with Scott Porter. I think he can pull it off. He looks the part, I'm sure he could bulk up, and he knows his comics for a young dude. I know he wants the part and unlike alot of the actors out there who claim to be fans he really is one!

What about Captain Awesome from Chuck? I don't know the actors name but why not. And Mark Valley may not be too old, I mean if you go Cap-Winter Souldier-New Cap , He would be fine for a few movies. What about Josh Holloway, Sawyer on Lost, talk about breaking a typecast role!

I think the actor who played Trent in the Friday the 13th remake would be a good Cap. He just needs too get a 40s haircut and hit the weights, Like Thomas Jane did when he played the Punisher. Too me, the actor looks allot like Christopher Reeve when he first got the part of Superman. I think he'd be a good choice.
