The official website has launched for The Incredible Hulk a day after the first teaser trailer hits the web courtesy of Universal Pictures and Marvel Studios. You can check out the trailer, view pictures, grab downloads and read the synopsis by clicking here. The upcoming adaptation of the superhero stars Edward Norton, Liv Tyler, Tim Roth, William Hurt, Tim Blake Nelson and Ty Burrell.

In related news, Empire Online has published a feature which has director talking about
action sequences, new characters, the CG and talks a lot about the design decisions he and Universal made on The Abomination.

"I really wanted to justify [Abomination's] appearance. I really wanted to wrap my head around the original scaley-with-big-ears monster that was in the comic book, but I couldn't justify it. The guy isn't crossed with a fish; he's not crossed with a lizard. Just like the Hulk he's an über-human — his body, everything, grows out. And the way he gets injected with the serum, he's shot in the skin and the muscles, and shot inside the spine. That makes his bones grow thicker and bigger and longer, making him a super-weapon. So he's got that spine that flares out, which becomes a weapon. He’s got elbows that stick out and become these martial arts, Chinese knives — things that can slash back and forth. He's got this tongue thing and the heel-spikes… so he's a killing machine. It's pretty cool, it's funny. He's got bones sticking out, so it becomes like an exo-skeleton which he uses as armour..."

I still find it odd that Edward Norton is playing Bruce Banner granted I am very intruiged how this is going turn out. I hope the CG effects for Abomination are a little cleaner than the teaser cause if its like that we may have a problem.

After finally seeing this in HD instead of a youcrap video format, i'm even more pumped up for this movie.

Haha Dante83. I agree. He's cool looking, but he's no Abomination. I just can't understand why they can't just make him look the way he looks! I like this though:

HULK too big - AGAIN. Dammit.

I never understood why the Abomination looked like he got irradiated with a fish. I'm not worried about the CGI because they have 3 months to clean it up. The first CGI's are always not the best quality.

metalpause, how is he too big? I don't want a midget Hulk. He has to be big, he's gotta be a freaking hulk, for G-d's sake!

Again, I think it's great that Marvel has their filmmakers very accessible to the media to talk about their work. Because these are established characters with large fanbases it makes good PR sense to have the director talk directly to fans or others interested about how they feel about the project and the choices they are making. I've never seen a director do a breakdown immediately on just the trailer and describe what goes into it. It's great. How else would a fan have known that was Doc Samson that Banner is talking to at the beginning or that the CGI isn't complete yet.

Shame on you, monkeyfoot, shame on youuuu. I said Ty Burrell was playing Doc Samson months ago here at Mania.

:)

And I agree, it's cool to have the trailer broken down by the director so soon.

metalpause...I sure hope you are not suggesting that he is as big or bigger than the first Hulk...If any thing he is smaller...I think he needs to be big compared to the tv series Hulk because he is a monster and if you take a look at the comic books he is kinda monsterous and big...I would say the only reason we got the tv size Hulk was because they had no other way of giving us a what they really wanted back then...
crazay ...I didn't watch it in HD at first either but now that I have, I have to agree with you...

That Trailer looked great! Dont see the big difference between this HULK and Ang's (its all CG to me) but I'm a huge fan, so either way... I love it!! Abonination looks a little like a Resident Evil monster.. no?

I'm not going to lie. It does't look as bad as the brokeback version that ang lee gave us in 2003. I also like that they are going back to the original theme music from the tv show. I'll buy that for a dollar.
