Meh...he looks like a kid instead of a man. Definitly will not care about this simple attemp to rekindle what was once fun cartoon.
Following on the growing interest yesterday when the image of the Thundercats characters surfaced out of London from a toy fair with a blurry picture, Warner Bros. Entertainment has sent out the first official image regarding the show and is talking it up a bit to get their spin on the characters and designs. The new image sent out contains the same four characters as seen before, which will keep people asking questions about Snarf, Kit and Kat of course, but we also get a look at the logo in full and a more solid look at the cast as a whole.

Roaring to life through WBA and Studio4°C’s use of the Japanese animated artistry of anime, “ThunderCats” characters Lion-O, Mumm-Ra, Panthro, Cheetara and others will spring off the screen with realistic cat-like characteristics inconceivable in previous incarnations.

“ThunderCats” is executive produced by Sam Register (“Teen Titans,” “Ben 10,” “Batman: The Brave and the Bold”). Michael Jelenic (“Batman: The Brave and the Bold,” “Wonder Woman”) and Ethan Spaulding (“Avatar: The Last Airbender”) are the producers.

he looks more like a teenager and i still see no snarf or kids in the picture.
I may check out an episode or two but right now i have no high hopes
Hair loks like typical anime crap, should look more like a Lions mane IMO.
Is there anything about when it'll be coming out? The image shows Tygra with a gun which I think is interesting. I don't think any of the Thundercats actually used handheld firearms in the original.
Looks to me like they are making Lion-O in his late teens or early 20's. I'm interested, but I am waiting for some footage to get a real feel for the show.
jedibanner, I was thinking along the same lines. Regardless if he's a kid or not though, his face doesn't really match the rest of his body. Panthro looks pretty cool. My wife got me the series on dvd a while back but I still haven't taken a look at it. It probably doesn't hold up to my memories of it like most 80's cartoons.
The Rankin Bass style was unique, where this looks like all the other anime out there
LionO looks more like an amalgam of WilyKit and Kat than he does LionO. The rest look prett good.
Ill definitely check it out though. If its good, I hope to see Ben-gali
Im excited to check this out , finally we have some great cartoons back on tv, Avengers , Young Justice , Thundercats, the new ultimate spiderman, Green Lantern, now we need a good Xmen cartoon and we will be good.
