What They Say
Ever since a cosmic phone call brought the literal young goddess Belldandy into college student Keiichi's residence, his personal life has been turned upside down, sideways, and sometimes even into strange dimensions!

It'll be one, two, three strikes you're out for the N.I.T. Softball Club if Keiichi can't help his sister win against their campus rivals--but with the goddesses stepping up to bat, it's not going to be the oldball game! Then, it's an unrelaxing hot springs vacation when Mara returns to challenge Urd to the most feared battle imaginable-karaoke! Plus four pages of color, ten Mini-Goddess strips, a message from creator Kosuke Fujishima, and your fan art and letters!

The Review!
This volume kicks off with a softball tournament.  Megumi’s softball club doesn’t have enough members for a full team, so she enlists Keiichi and the goddesses help to keep her club.  The men’s baseball club is standing in the way of the softball club’s practice time.  To clear up this argument, both sides agree to a winner-take-all softball tournament.  The winner will control the other club.  Megumi’s club can have all the practice time they want or the baseball club can make Belldandy and Urd their towel girls.  This is a funny chapter, it also manages to reveal some of Megumi’s childhood memories and strengthen the family bond she has with Keiichi.

An even more touching story follows the introduction of a lost puppy to the Morisato residence.  Megumi can’t keep the lost puppy she found at her apartment, so she begs Keiichi to care for it.  Surprisingly, Keiichi refuses to give the puppy shelter.  Even with the girls begging him, he eventually only agrees to keep the dog until they find it a new home.  Why is he so against keeping a cute little dog?  What happened in his past to make him act that way?  The answer definitely tugged on my heartstrings.

Of course, no early volume in this series would be complete without an appearance from Mara.  The goddesses run into Mara at a hot springs, but before they can throw down, Mara admits to her exhaustion and begs they not fight.  Seems she is perfectly content to just chill while her archenemies lounge around on vacation.  I really enjoyed this chapter as it reveals the tough love relationship between Mara and Urd.  Seems they used to hang out quite a lot in their younger days.  Drinking, arguing, and competing with each other was a common occurrence, so it doesn’t take long before they resort to their old ways.  First, they get wasted and then they have table tennis and karaoke battles to determine who is the best.

Everything seems chummy chummy, until Mara releases her plan to force Urd’s demon half out of her.  Will Keiichi and the other goddesses be able to survive a 100% evil Urd?  Will full demon Urd be even sexier than normal Urd?  Did Mara finally succeed, or did she just release the Lord of Terror again?
