I don't think provocative is the right word.  Disturbing is the right word, well as long as this stays true to the first movie.

I won a copy of the original movie from mania years ago. Ahh how things have changed, mania used to be such a great site

Wiseguy, thinking about how things have changed makes me all nostalgic for the days when I'd get Cinescape in the mail.  What an awesome magazine that was.

Sanity, what an awesome magazine that was and what an Awesome site that was unfortunatley neither are no more...I don't understand why they changed the name from Cinescape to Mania but they did and lost half the people who use to read the magazine and come to this site all in one swoop...It's really to bad...

Thanks Wiseguy. We appreciate the feedback. Giveaways used to be awesome. Unforunately legal issues tie up the works. Believe me, I get offers all the time to hook you guys and gals up.

Bob it wasn't meant as an insult or anything like that. Just reminiscing and doesn't almost everything seem better years back.

Anyway despite my complaints mania still has my loyalty. I may flirt with others but I'm always coming home with you ;)

I miss Cinescape too (the magazine and the website), but there are lots things I miss (including magazines, newspapers and websites) that no longer exist and nothing took their place, at least when Cinescape went away Mania was to there to fill the void.  I have no idea how many people are at work behind the scenes of this website, or how hard they work (what goes into running a daily updated site like this) and how much money they make (is it a labor of love).  That's why I try to not criticize Mania when they report something a couple of days after it was reported on something like MTV Geek...or when they neglect to review something like FX's unique American Horror Story...I figure they just don't have the resources / manpower of some of their competitors.

What Mania does have is a certain home cooked quality and personal touch...that some of the bigger chain restaurant type websites don't have.  For example when was the last time that a writer on MTV Geek went into the comments section to reply to a fan's comment?  They may not offer Give-aways but at least they don't ask us to pay them to finish reading an article like ESPN's website does.
