One More Hour on the Island
By: Stephen LackeyDate: Monday, April 14, 2008
The producers of Lost have been negotiating for sometime now to get an additional hour of Lost to close this season. Originally the season was to end with a two part finale, but E! reported that the script for the second part was 80 pages long! So ABC apparently reviewed the script and has finally agreed with producers and has given the greenlight for an additional hour. Some schedule adjusting has been done with the others series that are also ending at the same time as Lost to accommodate the extra hour.
The schedule will go like this- May 15: Lost season finale part 1- May 22: no Lost due to extended finales of other series- May 29th: part one of the finale will re-air followed by the final two hours of season four. Let the hype machine kick in, and this time it’s deserved. Lost has been near spot on since the recover from several sub-par episodes at the beginning of season 3 and more time just means more excitement as long as the series stays on track.
Good series to watch are starting to dwindle away this week with Medium and Supernatural really being the bastion of TV viewing this week. Smallville is on the radar but expectations are low.
