While giving us a first glimpse of the TEKKEN teaser poster, Comingsoon has revealed that another best-selling videogame adaptation is expected to roll cameras in a few months. The site says that ONIMUSHA, based on the Capcom title, will start production in April of 2008. Christopher Gans (Silent Hill) is in charge of directing this title. The film has a 70 million dollar budget and is expected to hit theaters December 2009.
Plot Concept: The story centers on a samurai warrior, Akechi Samanosuke, who embarks on a quest to save the woman (Princess Yuki) he loves and the entire world from falling into hell. First, the samurai must endure through hordes of angry demons and his resurrected nemesis, Nobunaga.

Anyway, if they are making this film I hope they keep the game in Japan and in the past, instead of present day France.
It'd be cool if they would cast the actor they used for Onimusha. He's a real actor in China or Japan (can't remember).
P.S. When are they going to finally announce the God of War film? That would be sweet!
