I have no worries about this, and am looking forward to seeing Zod once again on the big screen. Even if its only for 5 mins.. Damn you BuuuunyonSniiiiipe!!!

Nolan overrated? The guy has 5 films in IMDB's top 250 with 2 of them in the top 10. You can say whatever you want about that list but it's about as legit as it gets in my opinion!

C'mon man, saying you don't like him is a much smarter comment.

Yeah it's too bad about the 40-60 girls in hollywood, because almost all of them get hotter with age! I'm way more into the older girls these days.

Yeah, I figure it needs to be the other way around and Nolan needs to keep Snyder in check. I looked on Snyder's wiki page to make sure I didn't speak out of turn but his last three movies under performed for the studio and and they also met with mixed critical and public reaction. I'd be more worried about his involvement than Nolan's.

@wish - I do like Nolan movies. A better statement wouldve been for me to say The Dark Knight is overrated. about 20 minutes too long and a pointless Two-Face arc. Ledger was amazing, but it was his death that made it the commercial success it was.

Batman Begins is in the top three comic adaptations of all time.

What excuse are people going to use if the Dark Knight Rises also makes a billion dollars?

I totally agree with you cinemaman72. I'm actually looking forward to this movie too. Having not seen anything from it yet, I'll wait before dishing on the positive/negative validity of it. So far, I like the actors/actresses they've chosen. It does boggle my mind as to why WB wants to always protray LL as an idiot. I hope that changes in this one. I just do not get it.

As far as Chris Nolan is concerned, He IS involved with "The Man of Steel". Believe that. He is one of the writers as well as one of the producers. How is that a "name drop"? Sort of like Faverou will be with IM3. CN's involvement is one of the few things that gives me hope about this movie. Where is it written that because he's working on "Dark knight Rises"; that somehow negates his involment in TMOS? Anyone remember the production on a little film series called Lord of the Rings? I'm pretty sure CN can tie his shoes and chew bubble gum at the same time. Think what you will, but I gurantee you, the dailys will be sent to him & plot changes/ideas are going to cross his desk (at the least) before said changes are made. WB is in the habit of wanting to make money. It's their primary concern, and CN has made them a s**t load of it. Especially considering the GL debacle (Hey I loved it, but let's be real). No, me thinks CN is very much involved with the "going ons" of TMOS. And by the way - CN does have his s**t together. I can't recall him ever making a "horrible" movie.

I realize I am a little late to the thread, but I mistook Michael Shannon for MIcheal Sheen. He would have made a really great arrogant Zod.

Tonebone 6/25/2011 11:08:53 AM

I apologize if mentioned, but has anybody else read the reports that Chris Meloni from Law and Order: SVU is in talks to join the cast in "a major role". Anybody have any guesses on who that might be?
