Pacific Rim: Official TV Spot #2

Already talking sequel

Of course the next big film is Man of Steel. However, with each trailer and TV Spot I get more and more excited for Guillermo del Toro’s Pacific Rim. Can you believe that he and Warner Brothers are already talking sequel and the film isn’t even out yet?!

Synopsis: From acclaimed filmmaker Guillermo del Toro comes Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures' Pacific Rim.

When legions of monstrous creatures, known as Kaiju, started rising from the sea, a war began that would take millions of lives and consume humanity's resources for years on end. To combat the giant Kaiju, a special type of weapon was devised: massive robots, called Jaegers, which are controlled simultaneously by two pilots whose minds are locked in a neural bridge. But even the Jaegers are proving nearly defenseless in the face of the relentless Kaiju. On the verge of defeat, the forces defending mankind have no choice but to turn to two unlikely heroes—a washed up former pilot (Charlie Hunnam) and an untested trainee (Rinko Kikuchi)—who are teamed to drive a legendary but seemingly obsolete Jaeger from the past. Together, they stand as mankind's last hope against the mounting apocalypse.

The film features Charlie Hunnam, Idris Elba, Charlie Day, Rinko Kikuchi, Max Martini, Rob Kazinsky, Clifton Collins Jr., and Diego Klattenhoff.

The Pacific Rim opens July 12th, 2013.

this movie shall make a good birthday present! July 12 haha Guillermo knew ;) I always watched older monster movies.. so being modern, the scope is much larger. Its just too easy to get caught up in the CGI sometimes. Story is core. This movie should be interesting..

Those monsters look like guys in giant rubber suits. I've seen better beasties in a Power Ranger episode.

Sorry, doesn't do anything for me. Just another over-CGI'd mindless POS over-the-top action movie. No thanks.
