Matt Smith, David Tennant, and John Hurt as Doctor Who

The BBC has released three new official images from the Doctor Who 50th Anniversary episode “The Day of the Doctor”. Here we see David Tennant return to his iconic role. Matt Smith’s Doctor with a new hair cut. Finally, we have John Hurt with the last two Doctors. Is that a sonic screwdriver coming out of his jacket?

Press Release: BBC AMERICA is releasing the very first images from the Doctor Who 50th Anniversary episode The Day of the Doctor, premiering Saturday, November 23. The special will be feature length with 75 minutes of adventure, starring Matt Smith (How to Catch a Monster), David Tennant (Broadchurch), Jenna Coleman (Dancing on the Edge), with Billie Piper (Secret Diary of a Call Girl) and John Hurt (Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, Alien).

For the first time ever, the world’s longest running and most successful sci-fi series will be broadcast simultaneously to millions of viewers worldwide in a global simulcast. From the U.S. to the UK, Canada to Colombia, Brazil to Botswana and Myanmar to Mexico, fans in at least 75 countries, spanning six continents, will be able to enjoy the episode at the same time as the UK.

On top of the worldwide TV broadcast, BBC AMERICA will announce in the coming days details of select 3D screenings of the anniversary episode in theatres in the U.S.

I'll be honest, I only recently caught up on Doctor Who, and I can NOT...EFFING...WAIT...for November 23rd.  The one who broke the promise...

I'd really like to see the past episodes where previous incarnations meet each other. 30 bucks a piece at Hastings, damn it all.

StarlightGuard, you can find some of the meetings on Youtube.  I think between them all The Three Doctors was the best.  The Five Doctors didn't really have the incarnations really working with each other that much.  They kind of really only met up in the end.  Then there are various meetings that were done for charities over the years too.

Yeah I have dial-up, so no youtube. I'd rather own the DVD's anyways.

I saw they listed theaters in Australia and New Zealand that will be showing this in 3D, but I haven't seen anything for the US. Hope they release that list soon so I know how far I'll need to drive.

And never forget "The Two Doctors" with Colin Baker and Patrick Troughton.

David Tennant was my favorite Doctor, good to see him again. Cant wait!

I can't wait for this! Well, I guess I'll have to wait though but it won't be easy.
