Paramount Puts Faith in MAGDALENA

Sounds cool as long as Uwe Boll, doesn`t get his hands on it.

I've been a fan of the comic, but this is a bad idea for two reasons. One, the comic has never sold well. No matter who they have writing and drawing, Top Cow has never been able to get more than a four issue mini out of the concept every few years (and each one comes and goes with very little notice), so there is no built-in fan base to support a film. Two, much as I like the comic, it's a blatant rip-off of Buffy (reluctant American teenage chosen one answers to a secret society of European men who send her off to fight evil), and non-comic-readers are going to regard a movie as a rip, too. I suspect this one will go straight to video via the Sci Fi Channel.

Is she too young to be played by Uma Thurman???

Ahhh Uwe Boll. The only person who makes Joel Schumacher's films seem good...

Listen. A movie about a young, beautiful, half-naked, a**kicker WILL make money as long as it is rated "R" and written FOR ADULTS!!! If they make a kitty movie with a PG-13, it will suck worse than the suckiest Uwe Boll movie!! (That's a lot of sucking!!) They should cast Eliza Dushku or Kelly Monacco in the role!!

And of course she's armed with a katana - she really does look like a LARP/cosplay nut.

Kelly Monacco is hot, but can she act? And DM, even KobeTai sucks less than Uwe Boll.
