Parisot to be WB's WEEKEND WARRIOR

Warner Bros. is in final talks with director Dean Parisot (GALAXY QUEST and FUN WITH DICK AND JANE) to helm the supernatural action comedy WEEKEND WARRIOR.

The story centers on a high school teacher and armchair home repair enthusiast who unwittingly becomes a superhero.

Andrew Lazar will produce. Bill Birch wrote the script.

It'll probably be like My Super Ex-Girlfriend, with the superhero stuff and comedy put together. And they might just get Jim Carrey, who did Dean Parisot's last movie, to play the main character.

Eh... Doesn't grab me. I liked My Super Ex, but this sounds kinda dumb. Though I did like Galaxy Quest. Don't know. I'll have to see...

Yeah, I thought Galaxy Quest was a very good, fun movie. I am very surprised that a sequal wasn't made right away. I actually liked My Super Ex-Girlfriend. It was fun. I guess i'll wait and see if this grabs me with a trailer

Galaxy Quest was better than most of the Trek movies. And, I'm a huge Trek fan.
