What They Say
Mugi can't find the courage to confess his love to Yuu. So, he does the next best thing: he tells her sister, who then hatches a plan to bring them together. Her idea? Lock the two in the bathroom in their birthday suits and force Yuu to wear sexy cosplay outfits. With friends like Tsukasa, who needs enemies?

The Review
As much as I enjoy this series’ easy going pace, this volume lags a little in the first chapter as Mugi and Yuu babysit a friends kid. Not much conflict because Yuu’s little sister, Tsukasa, is still living in America. Luckily, Mugi seems to attract women that excel at complicating his life, so it’s only a matter of pages before things start rolling again. This time the woman just happens to be the most popular girl in school. Iwai Megumi is a year older, really cute with a great body, every guy wants to date her, and she’s the class vice president. At the last school assembly of the year to say goodbye to the graduating class, Megumi gives her class’ farewell speech. At the very end of her speech, and in front of the entire school, she asks Mugi to take her on a date the next day! Talk about bold!

For the life of him, Mugi can’t figure out why Megumi would want to go out with him because he doesn’t even know her. Yuu is Megumi’s friend, so she comes up with a date plan for Mugi. Wait, why isn’t Yuu the least bit jealous? Mugi is worried about his date, but once he makes it to the amusement park everything goes smoothly and he ends up having a lot of fun. Megumi seems to have a good time and thanks Mugi before saying goodbye since she’s moving to Tokyo the next day. Being as clueless as many of us were when we were in high school, Mugi goes home and back to his regular routine. It takes some nudging from Yuu, but Mugi eventually remembers meeting Megumi when he was a lot younger. This chapter is quite touching as Megumi leaves her hometown with mixed feelings. She is happy she was able to spend time with Mugi, but she also regrets pining over him for seven years without ever telling him how she felt. The story reminded me of running into old high school classmates years later and finding out they had a crush on you, or admitting your crush for them.

Woohoo! Tsukasa has returned! I love Tsukasa and her devil may care attitude. She decided to come for a visit since she has a break in school, and it takes little time for her to get back to her old antics. The moment Yuu catches Tsukasa sharing American porn mags with Mugi is priceless. Tsukasa taking a photo of Yuu sneaking a look at the porn is even better. Things seem like they are going to be the same as always until Mugi accidentally admits his love for Yuu in front of Tsukasa. Tsukasa has matured a lot over the last year and she decides to help Mugi win over her sister. Hilarity ensues, but will Mugi really be able to say ‘I love you’ to Yuu’s face? You’ll just have to read this volume to find out!
