What size difference! LOL!

Jokes aside, always fun to see diehard comic fans take on a role they don't care who it is, as long as it's a comicbook character.

Maybe they'll make him Armin Zola's decendant.  He and Toby Jones are probably pretty close in height.

Since it's never been revealed that the Nick Fury of this universe served in WWII, there will most likely be a retcon on Koenig's background.

I'm hoping this is an introduction to the character, in the vein of Bill Paxton's appearance, and not just a "one and done" appearance.  The more tertiary Marvel U characters they can drop into the series will give it more of a 'Marvel Universe" feel and make some of those who have complained of that a little happier.

We know that Patton is a huge fellow geek so to see him in something building into awesome like this is ...well...awesome. :)

I wonder if he'll have some ranting in his character's future, possibly about one of the major, or even lesser known heroes. (thinking of his scene in Parks and Recreation)

Since Samuel L. Jackson's Fury is based on Ultimate Universe Fury, perhaps they will have met in a different conflict. Or they will simply make him a fellow agent that rose up the ranks with Fury.

Noo....Patton Oswalt needs to recur his role on Justified before he comes onto Agents of Shield.

Woodye 3/22/2014 8:49:20 PM

I thought Justified was on it's last season?

Whedon must like him as much as I do...Oswalt did a great job on the episode of "Dollhouse" that he was in.  I still think Dollhouse was Whedon's only real swing and a miss, but it wasn't for lack of good performances.

This is pretty interesting and pretty cool.  Wondering how the show will show this guys past and connection to Fury in relation to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, since there is absolutely way to explain it that this guy comes from the 1930's and make it mak sense outside of comics.

Agree with Reshirt1, maybe he new Fury from the Pershian Gulf war 1 from 1991.

This could be cool as along as they don't start stripping ALL the fantastical elements from the story, after all this is supposed to be a comic book universe and NOT reality.

Well, let's hope.

I was just kidding around, Woodye. There's no reason he can't be on both shows as the Justified one is a cameo at most. They have one more season to go. Just hope Graham Yost and Tim Olyphant bring him back there next season for a show or two...That character was hilarious.
