Paul Jenkins On UNIVERSE
By: Rob AllstetterDate: Wednesday, August 29, 2001
Top Cow story editor Paul Jenkins says that the new UNIVERSE title is intended to last 12 issues - or maybe longer.
"At the end of the 12 issues, there is an in or out," Jenkins says. "There's a story point where it ends and you say, 'We move on from there or this could happen next.'
"UNIVERSE will have fulfilled its mission of introducing a bunch of stuff. Depending on what we have coming out next year from Top Cow, maybe there are some things we want to swap in to UNIVERSE for a year afterwards as well. It's conceivable, it kind of depends the reaction to it. If there is a positive reaction, we'll continue it."
A new Top Cow title planned for next year is NECROMANCER, with Brian Ching as artist and a yet-to-be-determined writer.
"That's going to fit in tightly with INFERNO and UNIVERSE and a lot of other projects that we've got working right now," Top Cow's Matt Hawkins says. "Details on that are sketchy at this point."
