Paul McGuigann will direct The Weinstein Co's upcoming film, FOUR KNIGHTS.

The film, a historical drama, is set in 12th century England and follows four foul-mouthed knights sent by King Henry II to negotiate the peace with the troublesome but hugely popular Archbishop of Canterbury, Thomas Beckett. The knights' mission goes wrong when they murder Beckett and flee to a remote castle with the whole country baying for their blood.

Paul Webb will pen the screenplay based on the play FOUR KNIGHTS IN KNARESBORO.

Sounds good to me.

This sounds good, but as I was reading it, it almost sounds like a comedy.

It does sound comically dark. They're foul mouthed knights. I started off thinking MP's Holy Grail. But they whole murder and the country is after them sounds pretty bad as. Sounds promising.

Sounds like "Very Bad Things" gone medievil. Hopefully it's not as awful as that movie was.

They are the Knights who say "NI!"

I hope they make it as gritty and realistic-looking (as I can imagine anyway) as Excalibur.

I'm with you Wes, some of the scenes in "King Arthur" were also nice and gritty. I'd like to see more of that type of grit.

Sorry Iracors, they are no longer the knights who say "Ni". They are now the knights who say "Ekky-ekky-ekky-ekky-z'Bang, zoom-Boing, z'nourrrwringmm"

Oh and if you call them that name again, I'll make you cut down the largest tree with a herring.
