This is a long overdue story from WWII The Dambusters helped change the path of the war. Without these brave flyers the Nazis may of developed the a bomb first!! And they also destroyed fortified sub repair bunkers that would of hunted shipping and the bombs were later used to finally sink The Turpitz Hitlers last great weapon! Sorry if i just gave the movie away !! I just hope the comic book movie fans give up there fake heros to see a movie about the real heros in our world!!! Jason.

I like my fake heroes better! Maybe the hero in this movie can be raised by his aunt and uncle. Through an incredible series of events, he meets up with his Father's best friend and learn to be one of the greatest pilots in the galaxy...err world. He can then go on to destroy the enemy's superbase on a suicide mission down a trench that's, say, about the size of a canyon. Seriously through, this story was one of the inspirations for another movie....can't think of the name though.

Hey Teabagging2000 These pilots are the reason why George Lucas was able to make Star Wars!!The heros of this movie had much in common with Luke .But to compare a fictional movie no matter how great it was to real people who put their lives on line to defend our right to babble every day on this blog is unfair. I nornmally make jokes and insult just about everything a true story of these pilots scientist and commanding generals hit very close to home for me. I am half Irish and Jew and have served in The USN. The Nazis murdered 6 million jews and millions more . They could of killed more. What if Hitler got the A bomb first? No Star Wars, No Luke. Isnt it time to pay tribute to these heros? 100 Million Dead or wounded in WWII . How many people died in Star Wars 0 . Not real. I love Star Wars and still own toys and DVDS . Trek is my favorite of them all . My hero of all time? Not James T Kirk whom I love and love Shatner but my greatest heros?Admrial Chester A . Nimitz. William "Bull" Halsey and Greg "Pappy" Boyington. A movie about Boyington would be amazing. The Blacksheep show was ok but far from the truth. dax0761 By facts out of Albert Speers own biographie(misnister of Armamanent) They only considered the A bombs in 1943. And since all the scientist of the project had flown to america, it would have took around 5 years to develop the tech but yet the bomb. SO the Fueher himself denied the project thinking that is was to much barbaric and unhuman. how's that for a paradox!!!!
And per history, this mission only slowed down the production and did not stop it. It ws a complete failure because instead of keeping the bombing on theese target they went to something else aloowing the Nazis to repair.
This movie is propaganda shit over stories that are not known enough to contradict. FLOPPP FLOPP This movie will not serve anybody therefore in the class of the last Pearl Habor flick.

Actually the heavy water plant that was destroyed by The dambusters was in production to make hard water that was to be sent to Japan for there a-bomb program .Recenetly declassified documents point to the Jaspanese were or did complete a small nuclear explosion in 1945. As for Speer his bio has been put to the test by military historians and been filled with falsehoods and in his attempt to difflect critisizm of Hitler and try to make Hitler look like good person. The missions of the Dambusters were far from failures they led to development of bombs that could penetrate bunkers and as I said before the Turpitz. The Turpitz was attacked over 50 times and never sunk until the Dambuster team was brought in to plan and a ship that could of sunk ships carrying some of our grandparents. The sub tender docks in France were never repaired so the u boat threat was neutralized. Durnitz after the war stated that this was the final blow to the Kriegsmarine.And finally all of the JDAM bombs and bunker busters we use today came directly from these scientist aviators and civilians. As for my knowledge .It is required to learn at The Unites States Navel Academy. No sarcasim intended either. GO NAVY!! The reason why this movie will not do well is that most of our generation is we get most of our education from comic books and MTV. Jeez I sound like my father!! But my father built ships in Brooklyn in WWII So he was another source of knowledge . But the me me people of today dont care who sacrficed for there right to go see Spiderman 3. This movie will fail because we the people who are educated in reality don't make our voices are heard to the mass media on why they should see this movie instead of Fantastic Four 2. The could of used that torch guy in the Areden!!
