According to Marvel Comics, AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #50 will be a major issue in the relationship between Peter Parker and his wife Mary Jane.
In an announcement released this week, Marvel said:
"The creative team of J. Michael Straczynski and penciler John Romita Jr. are ready to rock Spider-Man's world again, but this time, it's not a super-villain such as Dr. Octopus or the Green Goblin causing the chaos --it's his true love Mary Jane! Since agreeing to spend time apart, Peter Parker has been teaching school in New York City, while Mary Jane has been pursuing her acting career on the West Coast. Now, according to editor Axel Alonso, all that may change in the pages of Amazing Spider-Man #50."
"You asked for it, you got it," Alonso said. "This is the story that fans have been demanding ever since MJ walked out of Peter's life more than two years ago."
The issue, which features a cover by J. Scott Campbell, will be in stores on Feb. 19.
