They let the director of Resident Evil take on Tarzan?  They should be shot!

Am I the only excited about this? The moment I heard this was moving forward I grinned. I'm just too easy to win over I guess

Anyway I'm happy. I hope they render a rich luscious and dark jungle ala King Kong's sans the giant creatures.

freestrike no you got that wrong. The female lead is an actress from RE. The director is this newbie Kloos. imdb has him directing a few things I believe all are foreign so new to us but at least has experience in the industry.

I'm excited about it as well Wise.  I just hope it's as good as John Carter as a film and does better at the box office.  I'm a sucker for ERB stuff.

 I hope they stick closer to the original source material.. Tarzan was very smart, spoke English and taught himself to read.. He wasn't an "ape with in a loin cloth", like he's ALWAYS been portrayed...

Lutz?  Really?  Blah.  I'd be excited if they cast someone better.

Yeah Higgy but it's a motion capture film so we won't be seeing Lutz in the literal sense

As far as them casting Kellan Lutz... give the Kid a chance. He's got the size and build for the character. All we've really seen him is those Horribly directed and written twilight movies. He may actually have a little talent. I mean I watch Abducted the other day with Taylor Lautner and it turned out to be not half bad. Give the kid a few more vehicles don't include emo angst and he might turn out to be a good actor.

It would be cool if they had a John Carter easter egg of some kind...

Errrrgh I would love to see a Tarzan closer to the books, where he did everything from travel to the earth's core to flying fighters in WW2...
