PHENOMENA has arrived.
Mania Entertainment, the parent company which owns
CINESCAPE magazine, has just launched a brand new sister magazine and website devoted to the exploration of the unexplained.
PHENOMENA magazine presents all the news from the strange and unusual, whether it's breaking scientific discoveries, alternative medicine, the expansion of human consciousness or perplexing earth mysteries, all in a high quality, full-color glossy presentation. The first issue of
PHENOMENA is now on sale and available at all major newsstands in North American and the United Kingdom.
The founder of
PHENOMENA is Jeff Sagansky, former president of CBS Entertainment and, more recently, former CEO of PAX TV. "This content has been a passion of mine for some time, and
PHENOMENA presents a forum to let readers in on the latest research and speculation from writers all over the world," Sagansky explains. "At their best,
PHENOMENA stories are both surprising and thought-provoking. There's nothing else like this in the marketplace."
The Editor-In-Chief Simon Cox of
PHENOMENA is Simon Cox, known for his work on the CD-ROM amagzine
Duat. ""We promise to be at the cutting edge of research all the way," Cox adds.
The glossy, bi-monthly magazine's debut issue features a wide variety of subject matter. Articles investigating near-death experiences, Area 51, ghost recordings, altered states of consciousness, the Great Pyramid at Giza and alien abductions are included as well as the launch of regular sections covering a variety of paranormal and scientific discovery. Among the writers featured in the first issue are Robin Crookshank-Hilton, Alan Alford, Linda Moulton-Howe, Dr. Paula Baillie-Hamilton, Dr. Sam Parnia and Whitley Strieber, novelist of
COMMUNION. Book, film, TV and radio reviews of
PHENOMENA-related subject matter will also be featured.
Also launching in conjunction with the magazine is the
PHENOMENA website located at
www.phenomenamagazine.com. Hired to serve as the site's News Editor is Greg Taylor, creator of
The Daily Grail website which will now provide exclusive news daily for
PHENOMENA readers. Taylor has already populated the site with numerous news stories and will continue to be at the vanguard of breaking news items from this genre. Message boards are also a vital part of the
PHENOMENA experience and all are welcome to join the discussions.
On behalf of the creative team that brings you
CINESCAPE, please welcome the newest members to the Mania family, and then take a look at www.phenomenamagazine.com online or pick it up at a newsstand today!
