Date: Tuesday, July 08, 2008

The Dark Knight’s premiere is only a few days away and to promote the film Warner Brothers has Batman’s newest ride on a city wide tour. The Bat Pod and Tumbler (aka the Batmobile) will be visiting the following cities:
  • Phoenix
  • Denver
  • St. Louis
  • Cleveland
  • Kansas City
  • Cincinnati
  • Washington. DC
  • Philadelphia (7/8)
  • Boston
  • Toronto
  • Niagara Falls, NY
  • New York City (@ world premiere on 7/14)
  • Chicago (@ Chicago Int'l Film Festival on 7/16)
  • Los Angeles (@ ArcLight Cinemas on opening day)
If you are in one of the cities listed above look for it at your local IMAX Theater. The Tumbler wasn’t present at the King of Prussia IMAX but the Bat Pod was on full display. Here are several pictures of the Bat Pod at close range.

Is it coming to Puerto Rico? Didn't catch the date. ;)

This is some fucked up shit! Why, why am I on vacation? I could be in DC seeing the Batpod and Tumbler. Damn it all to hell!

Velgron - u in PR? That's where I am right now, pissed off cause the film starts here on 7/24 which is weird cause they are playing Hellboy 2 a day early than in the states cause the films open on Thursday over here.

They got an article up on EW about the Bat.

Dark Knight owns son!

Yep... live, work, play, die slowly. Here the movies usually start a day earlier (Thursdays), but on rare occasions they are held back in order to fuc< with us.(recently Wall.e, memorable StarWars I-III, Matrix II-III)

Actually they are held back to uniformly count the ticket sales in the US for those "special movies". But enjoy our Island and you Vacay!

Well, its official. The Dark Knight owns all! My damn sister saw it last night at a BAFTA screening in NYC and she said it was absolutely "AMAZING!" She doesn't easily impress so thats saying something. 16 damn days until I get to see it!

Do we have dates for the other cities? I'd like to know when it's in DC....

I still think they should have just called it the Batcycle. It doesn't really look much like a pod to me. It still looks pretty bitchin' though.

I wonder how comfortable it is to ride? It doesn't look to comfortable, but its almost like the targeting position in the Batmobile.

how does he keep his cape from getting hung up in the rear wheel?? anyone who has gotten there tennis shoe lace stuck in a bike pedal will know what happens, heheh

the edge of that cape gets stuck in the rear will for some unknown reason , ole batty is flying for sure, hehehe

other than that though it look bad a$$ and i am sure the movie will rock.

more Serenity from Hollywood.

Nolan fucked up by putting guns on the bike. Batman swore them off. But then again this is his Batman, not THE Batman.
