There was something for everyone at this year's Fangoria Weekend of Horrors, especially for fans that wanted an autograph or just a quick conversation with some of their favorite celebrities. Aside from the extremely long lines waiting to meet George Romero, Tom Savini and Bruce Campbell, it was relatively easy to stop and chat with the other actors. Jack Donner's table was always surrounded by a group of fans discussing his many roles, from Romulan Subcommander Tal in the original STAR TREK series to his latest movie DEMON UNDER GLASS, which will be out in a couple of months.

DEMON is a vampire movie with a twist. Donner plays Dr. Basset, a scientist who is overseeing a mysterious government project, experimenting on a vampire in the hopes of learning the secrets to immortality. Jason Carter (BABYLON 5) is the captured vampire and Garett Maggart (THE SENTINEL) is a doctor reluctantly involved in the program.

A relative newcomer to the convention scene, actor James C. Leary plays Clem, a "loose skinned demon" in BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER. He was first seen in Season 6 during a card game with Spike and two other demons. The extremely "nice" demon was a success and the character came back for several more episodes and will be in the next season of BUFFY adventures. As for the aforementioned poker game, the stakes wagered were not money, but rather cute tabby kittens. Unfortunately, Clem was caught cheating, and a fight ensued. But Leary wants it known that the reason Clem was cheating was to win the kittens and set them free. Honestly, that's what he said. I think you had to see the episode.

Other celebrities attending the convention included: Cassandra "Elvira" Peterson (ELVIRA'S HAUNTED HILLS), Heather Langenkamp (NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET series), director William Malone (HOUSE ON HAUNTED HILL) and Jeffrey Combs (STAR TREK DS9, ENTERPRISE) discussing their new movie FEARDOTCOM; director Joshua Butler; Kane Hodder (JASON series); FX specialist Patrick Tatopoulos; director/writer Jeff Rector (FATAL KISS); director Joshua Butler (Sci-Fi channel's SAINT SINNER); Ralis (FX make-up effects and lead singer of DEAD BY DAY); Gunnar Hansen (BOOGEYMAN); a Hollywood Hulk Hogan imposter; Glenn Shadix (DEMOLITION MAN, PLANET OF THE APES); Robin Sachs (Ethan in the BUFFY series) and many others. This was a convention with something for everyone.
