The 9th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards aired live on TNT Sunday, March 9, 2003, and CINESCAPE's roving lens was on hand to catch all of the excitement. And exciting it was as star after star sauntered down the red carpet and into the entrance of the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, Calif.
However, not only did we captured their lovely visages on film, but we also managed to overhear quite a few conversations. Here's what a few of the actors in attendance had to say:
"I'm happy that the show was nominated for a third year in a row. Coming from theater, I am enjoying the success of the show and I feel that the copying of the show [referring to CSI MIAMI] was the sincerest form of flattery." Robert David Hall (CSI)
"It's been a whirlwind; I've been all over the place. The nomination means a lot to me and the film is a tremendous achievement. Polanski deserves the recognition it's getting and it should be judged on it's own merits and not what happened to him in the past." Adrien Brody (THE PIANIST)
"I'm getting ready for DAREDEVIL II. It will be the same cast and a better movie, plus I'm also working on four animated features." Michael Clark Duncan (DAREDEVIL)
