Disney's mega-box office success of the summer, PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: CURSE OF THE BLACK PEARL, will arrive on home video on December 2. The film's two-disc DVD set will feature loads of bonus material including a look at how the skeleton effects were made.
Included on the PIRATES DVD will be not one, not two, but three separate commentary tracks (director Gore Verbinski and actor Johnny Depp; producer Jerry Bruckheimer and stars Keira Knightley and Jack Davenport; and screenwriters Stuart Beattie, Ted Elliot & Terry Rossio and Jay Wolpert.) There will also be the documentary "An Epic At Sea: The Making of PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: CURSE OF THE BLACK PEARL", a feature showing the progression of the skeleton effects as moonlight creeps across the pirates' skins; deleted scenes; an image gallery; and something called "Below Deck: An Interactive History Of Pirates". Yar-har-har indeed.
So how much will all this buccaneer brawling goodness going to cost you? The two-disc DVD is retail priced at $29.99 while the VHS is marked at $24.99. Set your date for December 2nd!
