The stars took over Disneyland on Saturday, June 28th for the world premiere of PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: CURSE OF THE BLACK PEARL. The red carpet stretched from the main gate all the way down main street to Frontierland where a huge movie screen was draped across Tom Sawyer's Island where seating was built to accommodate the stars and 1,500 guests. Lining Main Street were hundreds of fans, photographers and electronic press from all over the world. This was a premiere of all premieres. Fans screamed and cried, especially when Orlando Bloom (Will Turner) walked down the carpet. Orlando even took time out to pose with some of the fans, taking pictures with their cameras.

When Johnny Depp (Jack Sparrow) arrived, dressed in a "Zoot" suit, the crowd screamed even louder as security guards accompanied him down the long carpet as he posed for the photographers, talked to the press and signed autographs.

The arrivals started at 6:30 p.m. and more celebrities just kept filing down the red carpet on their way to Frontierland. Daryl Hannah (SPLASH) came dressed as a pirate and former PARTRIDGE Danny Bonaduce dueled one of the costumed pirates that walked the carpet. There were also female pirates that posed with some of the celebrities; SMALLVILLE's Michael Rosenbaum even got kissed by one of them.

PIRATES stars Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom, Keira Knightly (Elizabeth Swann), Jack Davenport (Norrington), director Gore Verbinski, producer Jerry Bruckheimer and screenwriter Ted Elliott were joined by guests (besides the ones already mentioned) Jon Voight, Rachel Hunter, Jon Cryer, William Fichtner, Shannon Elizabeth and husband Joe Reitman, ENTERPRISE Captain Scott Bakula, Lea Thompson, Jonathan Lipnicki, Corbin Bersen, Rachel Welch, Arlen Escarpeta, Jane Seymour and husband James Keach, Tommy Smothers, WONDER WOMAN Lynda Carter, X-MEN's Rebecca Romijn-Stamos and husband John Stamos, Travis Barker and Mark Hoppus from Blink l82, David Hasselhoff and many others.

All and all this is a premiere that won't be forgotten for a long time. Disney out-did themselves and everything went so smoothly that thanks should go to Elizabeth Wolf at Disney for making such an enjoyable day at the "Happiest Place On Earth"!
