It looks like Jerry Bruckheimer has hired SHREK writers Terry Rossio and Ted Elliott to rewrite the hopeful franchise film based on the Disney theme park ride THE PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN. This comes after writers Jay Wolpert and Stuart Beattie have already written drafts of their own.
As VARIETY reports the story, the movie centers on pirates who are trying to reverse a supernatural script, and Rossio and Elliott have been asked to amp up the supernatural angle.
