"Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End" Artwork

AICN managed to get a hold of some spanking new promo images for Disney's upcoming blockbuster Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End.

You can find one to the left and the rest over here.

AICN does mention that there is a chance the artwork may not be final and that they expect this will be the theme reflected in the films posters and one sheets.

KJ's Take:  These images are amazing, I just hope the film will get back to the style and wit of the first film rather than the bland over the top action of the second.

Pictures look good; hopefully it will capture the magic of the first one. The 2nd one did have me looking at the clock a few too many times.

the first film just rocked, the second had me glued to the chair with untter excitement. Depp and crew just keep getting better and better.
One thought though, sometime last year I heard that there was going to be a fourth film. I sure hope it's not a prequel, I dispise them. there is a line in the second film (13 years ago, Jack made a contact to raise the Black pearl from the depths) to me this means prequel. One last thing, Sparrows first mate is suppose to be dead.

Those pics are phat! The best one is with Jack though. He just looks badass! I liked the second one, but I hope its better. They need to end it on a really specatular note, which doesn`t always mean more f/x.

The second movie would have been better if it had a little thing called a plot.

I loved the second film, moreso than the first and the first became even better because of the sequel. Of course it had plot or am I the only one that was reading between the lines in the dialogue. Dead Man's Chest has become one of my three favorite films (alongside Empire Strikes Back and the Bourne Supremacy).
I am looking forward to "At World's End" and look forward to dressing up as a pirate and throwing my girlfriend over my shoulder as I enter the theater.

The problem with Dead Man's Chest was that whole cannibal island portion of the movie. It had absolutely no bearing on the story at all and basically meant that we were nearly an hour into an overly long movie before anything plot related was revealed. Sure that portion of the movie had some fun sequences and got a good laugh, but overall, it detracted from the movie as a whole. I also don't think you need to include every single character from the first movie in the new one just because, which is what they seemed to be going for. We could have easily done without the two buffoons from the first movie, for instance.

Regardless, I'm looking forward to At World's End, but I hope they keep it to a manageable length, or make sure the entire runtime actually deals with the plot so the movie doesn't feel 40 minutes too long.

I'm humbled to say this, but I actually agree with KJ's take...I'll take the wit of the first flick over the needless action of the sequel.

I liked both, they were fun, why waste brain cells trying to over anylize a movie based on a theme park ride. Just do what you do at the park, stap yourself in, turn off your brain and just enjoy the ride. Bring on three...

Funny, I thought the wit in the first one was poorly written and found the movie quite lame. As did the 3 people I saw it with.

On the other hand I loved the 2nd one because it kept flowing, the wit was better and the action was awesome.

Omg, how can you say there was no plot in pirates 2??? did you not watch the movie and are just talking out your ass? Let me explain it to you, the plot circled around Jack Sparrow searching for a key and obtaining the dead man's chest so he could bartered with Davi Jone's and call off the Kracken. The subplots were East India trading co. trying to gain control of the sea with having Davi Jone's heart so they could control the kracken and Will Turner meeting his Father and making a promise to him that he will sever the hold that Davi Jones has on him. I completely disagree with KJ, and don't understand why he believes it was bland, maybe at times it was over the top, but there was more a story this time around then the first one. We learn a hell of a lot more about Jack, how he obtained the compass and how it works, we meet will's enslaved father and how they react to eachother's first meeting and if that's not enough for you then i don't know what to tell you and watch anyother second movie in a trilogy and you will see the same thing in each of them, an unfinish story that connects the second one to the third one, giving us the conclusion of the complete story. Oh yeah and Cannibal island wasn't completely pointless if you payed attention Jack told Gibbs to find any land asap so that way he would be out of danger from the Kracken, and that's where Will is told to search, but i will agree that it may have been to long of a scene but the movie is meant to be entertaining and actionpacked and i would have to say that the whole bonecage scene was great
