Date: Tuesday, March 20, 2007

The trailer for the upcoming sequel, Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End, is now online and you can view it below!

In the film, we find our heroes Will Turner (Orlando Bloom), Elizabeth Swann (Keira Knightley) allied with Captain Barbossa (Geoffrey Rush) in a desperate quest to free Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) from his mind-bending trap in Davy Jones' locker – while the terrifying ghost ship, The Flying Dutchman and Davy Jones, under the control of the East India Trading Company, wreaks havoc across the Seven Seas. Navigating through treachery, betrayal and wild waters, they must forge their way to exotic Singapore and confront the cunning Chinese Pirate Sao Feng (Chow Yun-Fat). Now headed beyond the very ends of the earth, each must ultimately choose a side in a final, titanic battle – as not only their lives and fortunes, but the entire future of the freedom-loving Pirate way, hangs in the balance.

The film opens wide on May 25, 2007.

KJ's Take:  Damn.  I really wasn't going to see this, but after watching the trailer I can't lie to myself anymore.  Despite the fact that I thought the second film was a disgrace to the film's name, I'll still be there opening weekend.  Bah!

I have a general trailer rule for going to see movies. It doesn`t have a name, but basically, if the back of my neck gets goosebumps from watching the trailer, its a sure guarantee that I will see this movie and it will be awesome.
Goosebumps I had, so Rock this movie will!
I`m so totally looking forward to this. I actually liked the 2nd one although the 1st was a better flick.

I still hoping Will Turner gets sent down to Davey Jones`s Locker in this one.

I'd have to agree as well. That gave me the shivers several times. I think I wet myself a little too. This one should top them all this summer. Get ready for another record breaking box office smash.

Well, I didn't have any movements of bodily fluids, but I did smile as well (particularly at the line and response from Depp's Jack about who's tried to kill him and who's succeeded).

Yahoo has another 'exclusive' clip, with Barbossa and Jack, and then Pintel comes in. It isn't funny at all.

So, I'm looking forward to At World's End, and while I enjoy brainless popcorn flicks as much as the next person, AWE has *a lot* of questions to answer (many of which were raised in the second film), and I'm hoping it does so satisfactorily.

Is "goosebumbusmovieawesomus" contagious? Cuz, I think I got it too.

No goose bumps on my part. But I never needed them to watch this movie, the only thing I didn't like about the second one was all the round things rolling down a hill. And any thread that quotes Tombstone is alright with me.

This movie is going to kick some box office bootie "This is a reckoning."

Oooh look at this we quoted Tombstone twice ... damn that is a good thread.
