Gore Verbinski is in talks with Jerry Bruckheimer and the Walt Disney Company to direct the big screen translation of the famous Disneyland ride PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN. Verbinski's last big film was the Brad Pitt/Julia Roberts action/romance/comedy THE MEXICAN.
Not much more is known now, but Bruckheimer has said in the past he hopes to start shooting in the next few months.
