Since his introduction to Atari 2600 players in 1981, Pitfall Harry has explored lost caverns, swung over the jaws of ferocious crocodiles and leapt over sinkholes in pursuit of ancient relics. Today marks a new adventure in Harry's career as Activision releases PITFALL: THE LOST EXPEDITION for the PlayStation 2, Xbox, GameCube and GameBoy Advance systems.
For the first time in the PITFALL franchise history gamers will be able to control Harry's limbs, allowing him to have greater control over paddling his raft across a dangerous river or using ice picks to scale a glacier's walls. You'll still be able to make Harry swim, crawl, swing and fight as he explores over 50 different levels of gameplay and faces puzzles that unlock branching pathways allowing you to choose where Harry explores next. Some of the dangerous creatures that Harry will face in the game include scorpions, bats, monkeys and piranhas to menacing mercenaries, bush ninjas and natives. As well, mini-games allow players to home their skills while idols collected can be redeemed for upgrades for Harry.
As an added bonus, the complete version of the original PITFALL and PITFALL 2 Atari games are included somewhere on THE LOST EXPEDITION. Players will be able to unlock these games as you progress through LOST EXPEDITION.
PITFALL: THE LOST EXPEDITION has been rated E for Everyone. The console version of the game retails for $39.99 while the GameBoy Advance version sells for $29.99.
