I think this would be a nice change of pace for Pitt. Doesn't sound like his usual stuff.

Brad Pitt's Plan B shingle is set to produce a theatrical adaptation to Capcom's video game Dark Void. HR's Risky Biz Blog reports that Reliance BIG Entertainment and Plan B shingle are developing a film version, with Pitt possibly taking on the lead role as well. No writers have been hired as yet.
Plot Concept: “Void” centers on a a cargo pilot named Will who, after crashing in the Bermuda Triangle, ends up in a parallel universe where a band of humans must fight an alien threat they had long been thought extinct. Will and the other humans are outmanned but have a number of weapons and powers to help them beat back the alien incursion.

I like the idea of this. Haven't really followed the game but it would be a nice step away from his usual roles.
Has there been a good Bermuda Triangle story yet? I know there have been a ton. I'm not talking about a decent B movie, or "it was good for what it was" kind of thing. Just a flat-out good BT movie...
Capcom must have sent out advance copies of the game to the "hollywood elite" and Pitt playing the game must have said "hey this could be a kick ass movie". Judging from the games website: Darkvoidgame.com I could see how this could have that potential. Pitt's probably looking to make this his "Ironman."
Brad Pitt starring in a video game adaptation. This is a first. It may work. However, they may get ideas and try casting Tom Cruise in future video game adaptations. I'd be worried if they cast him as Commander Shepherd in the Mass Effect movie.
Its just a matter of time before hollywood gets serious about video game adaptions for movies.Im sure After the sands of time comes out.You will see alot of big name direactors and actors jumping on the band wagon.
P.S. Wheres my God of War movie!!
FFT5305, The Bermuda Depths. A haunting film to say the least, and extremely hard to find! If you are past your 30's, you most likely have an after image of a giant turtle (not Gamera!) with glowing eyes, and a girl with the same eyes.
If you google it, you will see several posts with people who couldn't remember the movie, but remember those two things!
Nope. I googled it, saw a pic of the girl with the funky eyes (looks creepy). Doesn't ring a bell. Description doesn't sound familiar either. Sorry...
I like brad pitt but this sounds like a plot straight from an old b sci-fi movie.
