After building the best reputation in CGI animation with films like TOY STORY and MONSTERS, INC. , Pixar has announced it will now make one film a year, and has set the releases of its next three flicks.
Coming first is the long-rumored, little revealed FINDING NEMO, next summer. It's the story of a fish looking for his father.
The most interesting film announced comes from Brad Bird, the director of the nearly unknown classic IRON GIANT, titled THE INCREDIBLES. It tells the story of a family of superheroes and their struggles to retain normality in a world of super human calamity. It's slated for our eyes in the latter parts of 2004.
Finally comes John (TOY STORY) Lasseter's return to directing with CARS, the story of a band of hot-rods and their adventures on Route 66. This comes on top of Lasseter's work to bring Hayao (PRINCESS MONONOKE) Miyazaki's SPIRITED AWAY to American eyes.
