POTTER Breaks Sales Records

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

HARRY POTTER AND THE HALF-BLOOD PRINCE sold 6.9 million copies in its first 24 hoursof being on sale, breaking the record held by HARRY POTTER AND THE ORDER OF THE PHOENIX. PRINCE reportedly sold 250,000 sales per hour.

The book's publisher, Scholastic, has already increased the print run from 10.8 million copies to 13.5 million. Estimates see the novel generating $100 million to date.

This just in, the pope has commissioned a series of books on the life and times of Pope John Paul II. The first in seven will be called "John Paul and the Jesus Stone". Any semblance to Harry Potter has been flatly denied by head vatican officials. Thank you and good night.

adding to this LOTR was written by the very very religious J.R.R. Tolkien. How about that... now that we've all seen LOTR or (even better) read it, are we are now heathens??? What tripe.
