YAHOO! Entertainment News states that libraries nationwide have slashed upfront orders for the upcoming HARRY POTTER AND THE ORDER OF THE PHOENIX due to budget cuts. The shortages will mean long waits for the book.
The New York City library system, for example, ordered over 950 copies of the previous book, HARRY POTTER AND THE GOBLET OF FIRE, but will only be ordering 560 of the new title.
