The BBC reports that
HARRY POTTER author J. K. Rowling's charity-auctioned 93-word handwritten, spiraling précis of the story to
HARRY POTTER AND THE ORDER OF THE PHOENIX, the overdue fifth novel in her plotted seven-book series, fetched a respectable £28,680 (approximately $45,231) when the gavel came down.
£24,000 of that money will go to the charity the auction benefits, Book Aid International. The balance is described as the buyer's premium. Book Aid will use the money provisioning books for Eritrean and other African schools.
