Power Rangers: Lost Galaxy Red Power Ranger

Boasting the best-selling action figure series in America, Bandai is celebrating their 2006 Anniversary with 6.5-inch mock-ups of the Red Power Ranger from six different morphin, monster-fighting seasons.
Premiering after Power Rangers in Space and before Lightspeed Rescue, Power Rangers: Lost Galaxy aired in 1999 and was based off the Japanese TV counterpart Super Sentai: Starbeast Squadron Gingaman. In order to give you the bottom line on this action figure we’re going to critique it in terms of Aesthetic, Maneuverability, Accessories and above all Playability.
Aesthetic: Crisp paint, bulging muscular form, and exquisite attention to detail (especially on the sword) gives this power ranger a solid, take-no-crap-from-no-one appearance. Each hand digit is clearly articulated and even with some tight facets on the helmet there’s practically no color bleed.
Maneuverability: The Special 2006 Anniversary Editions shine in this category. With a swiveling head, horizontal and vertical jointed torso, and enough arm and leg joints to provide at least 5 axes of rotation in each, this Galaxy Ranger is more flexible than an animated Kama Sutra model.
Accessories: Out of all the potential accessories they could have included with this guy you’re only given the Quasar Saber sword and a pretty pitiful silver-and-black stand decorated with the Power Ranger lightning bolt.
Playability: Although you won’t find any morphing ability here, an overall clean look and high amount of poseability makes this toy a great stand alone action figure. With so many maneuverable joints this Special Edition Ranger was built to be played with but accessorized like a keep-in-the-box collector’s item. Bandai had a lot of options with this toy and if they would’ve taken the extra step they could have really balled out these special editions and celebrated their 2006 anniversary with a bam instead of a bleh. Where’s the ranger’s Transdagger, Quasar Launcher, or Lights of Orion Armor… and whatever happened to this guy who played Leo Corbett back in ’99?
